This show will be an evening with They Might Be Giants. No opener.

2018 just got a whole lot better! With their critically acclaimed new studio album, ‘I Like Fun’, Brooklyn’s legendary alt-rockers They Might Be Giants are back and on the road with a brand new two-set “Evening With” show. Playing with an expanded line-up of musicians, the show includes all-time favorites, fresh rarities spanning their epic career, and spur-of-the-moment improvisations that will delight even their exhausted road crew. To be direct: this show is not to be missed.

Sydney and Melbourne fans are in for a double dose of awesome as the band are delivering two totally different shows in each city showcasing material from different era’s. That’s 4 hours of TMBG brilliance over two nights.

“Oh my god, They Might Be Giants is underrated. That’s the best band of all time. Better than the Stones, better than the Beatles, better than Oasis, and better than Crosby, Stills and Nash.” – Open Mike Eagle, Pitchfork

They Might Be Giants is dedicated to making each performance a high-volume celebration of their original music. It’s always spontaneous, occasionally ribald, and undoubtably joyous. And now for the first time, they’re on a full tour with show-stopping trumpet genius Curt Ramm (Nile Rogers, Bruce Springsteen).

“Perfect pop music can come from anywhere and can go anywhere. They Might Be Giants have demonstrated this for a quarter century.” – The New Yorker

This year alone the band released their 20th full-length album ‘I Like Fun’ to rave reviews, played 50 US cities demolishing stages to mostly sold out rooms, was nominated for a Tony award for their song “I’m Not A Loser”, posted 20 additional songs on their Dial-A-Song service, was the featured guest on WTF with Marc Maron, and performed on CONAN (+ special web-exclusive)!

They Might Be Giants’ 80-city world tour includes Australia, Europe, Canada, and the US with an eye for more far-flung territories in the new year.

“Catch them if you can. Their live shows always deliver.” – USA Today
